THE FORWARD PARTY is a new kind of party aimed at addressing critical problems with our democracy:
- Two increasingly polarized legacy parties that no longer represent most Americans.
- An electoral system that inhibits free competition, rewards placing partisan loyalty above individual principle, and punishes politicians who seek to solve problems through collaboration.
- Combative partisan rhetoric that continues to divide our country and contributes to legislative deadlock.
The Forward party represents a broad political spectrum, having been created by a merger between the Renew American Movement (former members of Republican administrations), the Serve America movement (former staffers from the George W. Bush administration) and Andrew Yang’s legacy Forward Party.
What all these members have in common is a desire to put good governance above partisan politics by working across the aisle to solve our most pressing issues.
Having learned from the mistakes of other third parties, the Forward Party has adopted a unique approach:
- A bottoms-up approach that empowers local leadership to develop platforms and to build an infrastructure to endure all future election cycles. Forward won’t dictate a rigid, top down policy platform and expect it to work for every community across the country.
- Core principles that focus on behavior of the candidate, rather than on just following a strict partisan policy. Treating people with respect and dignity, tolerance of opposing political views, and high ethics are principles that guide this party – and every candidate who the Forward Party endorses must sign a pledge to follow these principles.
The Arizona Forward Party
The local Arizona team is seeking to gain statewide party recognition for the 2026 General Election, which requires collecting more than 50,000 petition signatures by November 2025. Volunteers, donations (and signatures!) are needed to make this effort succeed.
In the meantime, the Arizona Forward Party is making endorsements for Republican, Democratic and Independent candidates in the 2024 General Election who meet the Forward Party criteria for core principles.
