Representative Paul Gosar, Arizona Congressional District 9, is my Representative in Congress. Concern about proposed cutbacks in the Veterans Administration led me to contact him regarding his position on this issue.

As of May22, there has been no response to my second, more detailed inquiry.
This is a matter of urgent National significance. Less than one percent of Americans serve in uniform. The services are in turmoil because of arbitrary direction from the current administration regarding leadership within our armed forces.
We have a moral responsibility to insure proper support for those who have served us and require medical assistance. Does the VA require significant improvement in its operations? Absolutely. Some improvements have been achieved; others require further attention. This process is called management, and needs to be sustained with competent diligence. Arbitrary resource reduction is not the way to do it. Our veterans deserve much better from us.
